EXPERIENTIAL WISDOM

Throughout my life, I have been fascinated by existential questions and curious about spiritual development. I have followed many paths to satisfy my hunger and thirst, including practicing Vipassana meditation and various types of yoga.

Always on the go and immensely driven, those around me describe me. Personally, I felt something important was missing that I couldn't quite put my finger on, because I hadn't had the words for it before. Until I met a woman who would change my life forever by asking me if I might be gifted. She referred me to Willem Kuipers' website, Ximension, and that very same day I landed on his blog: “Doe maar Complex…”

From then on, I looked back on my life and rewrote the entire script, not all at once, but gradually. I woke up from hibernation, things fell into place, and hours of conversations with her followed, albeit at a different cadence and on a completely different frequency than I was used to. I had experienced it once before but was unaware at the time why it felt the same; apparently, some time had to pass to fully realize this. In 2016, I came across Intergifted on the internet, an online community of like-minded, intense people, and (exceptionally) gifted and deeply sensitive individuals. Since then, I have been home and I no longer miss anything.

Everything I couldn't answer was gradually filled in. My multi-layered nature was touched, and I was frequently mirrored. I didn't understand any of it, but at the same time, everything fell into place. Because it just made sense. Connections were made that I had not experienced, or barely experienced, before. I have developed a new language, as it were. Not another foreign language like my English, Portuguese, German, and so on, but the language of my soul has become so much richer. And my soul, in turn, feels understood on many more levels.

The rich nuances of my experiences, the super-fast switching between a helicopter view and zooming in in a nanosecond, intra- and interpersonal giftedness without being formally trained or airy-fairy, simply because I am very observant, incredibly driven and autonomous but not competitive, multipotential and mega eager to learn but also an underachiever.

Suddenly, I understood all kinds of wounds and things I had encountered in my life, through similar stories and experiences of others. This phase of my life was liberating, confronting, shocking, surprising, but above all healing and necessary if I wanted to feel complete and fulfilled. Everything I learned about Maslow's theory during my studies in commercial economics is insufficient for gifted individuals; I discovered that in this special community.

For many years, I walked a spiritual path to become a Reiki Master in the teachings of Usui and Karuna Reiki, during which I began giving training sessions myself and treating and initiating people. I have also practiced Vipassana meditation and mindfulness, and led many meditation circles. The subtle body is my first love, but for me, energetic work is not complete without emotional and mental growth.

For me, it was primarily Dr. Kazimierz Dabrowski's personality theory (Positive Disintegration) regarding emotional development, and Dr. Don Beck's Spiral Dynamics conceptual framework and perspective on value systems and what motivates us to change or not, that made it clear to me that not everyone has the same inclination towards growth and is willing to do something for it. Whereas others are so passionate and driven, likewise for so-called inexplicable reasons. I have always felt that distance in my own life.

I have shared and written extensively about my own experience, development, and struggles within Intergifted, as well as various creative expressions that have been published and are available through the Intergifted webshop. I am now a coach/counselor for gifted, intense individuals on their quest for meaning, awareness, and growth without restraint or conformity, utilizing many methodologies I have learned over the years. Additionally, I am an assistant lecturer at the Academy for Coaching and Counseling, where I have the privilege of passing on my acquired knowledge and experience to new students.

My business philosophy is to bravely and fearlessly view all resistance and fears together with unconditional acceptance, and to become conscious as we embark on a journey to explore and encounter your basic markers as a gifted, highly conscious person. Who am I? What do I want? What can I do? With whom will I do it? These pillars are a necessary foundation for gifted and highly conscious individuals to experience well-being, contentment, self-confidence, and self-worth.

This solid foundation is fertile ground and a prerequisite for discovering and utilizing your development potential without worry and with complete freedom. It offers you the opportunity to gain insight into your skills, apply them more consciously on a daily basis, and use them in a way that increases your social, emotional, mental, and spiritual intelligence.

With this anchoring of yourself, you, as a highly gifted person, are able to move from laborious to effortless, uninhibitedly being and expressing your complex, intense, driven self from a place of life force and life energy. It enables you to experience increasing flow, happiness, joy, and meaning personally and professionally, and fosters having and gaining sustainable, nurturing relationships on an equal footing, characterized by recognition and exchange.
