PEER-TO-PEER IS OF THERAPEUTIC VALUE
PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION IS UNPARALELLED

PEER-TO-PEER CONNECTION IS UNLIKE ANYTHING ELSE: IT’S OF THERAPEUTIC VALUE
(*excerpt from my submission for Intergifteds' compilation this summer on 'How I healed my Gifted trauma')
As we met for coffee she addressed something I had mentioned, referring to it as "gifted trauma." Though I can't recall the specific topic, I vividly remember our then conversation—lasted two to three hours of dense information exchanged at warp speed, which I had only experienced with one person before. I was 37 at the time, and she was the second person.
Our concentration spans seemed endless; we remembered every word and reflected back with empathy and deep comprehension.
She recommended Ximension, an organization and website by Willem Kuipers, a leadership and career coach for gifted adults. Reading his blogs about different types of giftednes - or "Xidentities" - as he termed them, struck me like lightning. I felt simultaneously dazzled, relieved, confused, happy, angry, and sad. The emotional tsunami convinced me there was profound truth here, though I couldn't yet grasp its full extent.
Since meeting her we would talk almost daily for the next five years. These meta-conversations felt sublime, providing profound healing clearing out our emotional attics and basements. We exchanged extraordinary high energy, psychomotor intensity, and limitless curiosity, leaping from one quantum intuitive insight to another. Nothing was ever too much or too idiosyncratic—we could hold infinite space for one another.
Our combined visual-spatial capacities and extensive vocabularies generated the most entertaining humor that others rarely understood. We crafted otherworldly metaphors and analogies, creating our own stratosphere of connection. After having done years of gifted trauma healing I became a certified coach to become an advocate and member for those still to embark on their journey of self-discovery and exploration.
Wholeheartedly,
